I had the privilege of attending the Bos Advisors Introductory Emerging Leaders Program–a pilot workshop on leadership and networking. I am currently starting an internship at the Spanish Consulate in Houston, and as a bachelor student in International Relations, I found the workshop inspiring and encouraging for my upcoming personal and professional opportunities.
We were young people ranging from 18-24 years old, and from very different backgrounds, but Marijo, Steven and Giuseppe were able to unite and lead us to find our common interests. First, Marijo inspired us with her approach on what being a true leader in every aspect of life entails and how to manage our own emotions to achieve it. Afterwards, Steven introduced the concept of mindfulness and we performed some creative and interesting activities, and finally Giuseppe closed up by encouraging us to dream big and to pursue our passions in life through his own experience.
The workshop proved to be a success. We were all eager to learn more about the very different concepts and I personally look forward to experiencing such a great opportunity again!
